DWI and Misdemeanor Defense
If you are reading this, it could likely be your first time dealing with the criminal justice system and you may likely feel some anxiety over the situation that you are in. Most of your fear is a discomfort with the unknown, whether it is not knowing the consequences of being charged with a crime, or simply not understanding how the process works.

Contract negotiations
If you are either in the process of buying a business or selling a business there are myriad of issues that need to be addressed in order to fully protect you. Many, when buying or selling businesses, or negotiating new aspects of an existing business think about the reasonable scenario, assuming both parties are on the same page, and that both parties are acting with complete honesty and respect for the other contractor. While I would also assume that this is usually the case, it is important that you protect yourself in the worst case scenarios. It is important to know what will be of your situation if the business relationship turns sour or if simply the two parties were not on the same page.
My experiences have led me to asking the hard questions and sometimes the abstract questions about the new relationship that is forming. Property Law Issues
I was recently appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Taos. As a commissioner, in addition continuing legal experience, my knowledge about property issues in the Town, County and Northern New Mexico region has greatly expanded. Resulting, I have experience in everything from simple property sales to metropolitan redevelopment code. Major Felony Defense
Your number one goal when facing a felony charge is keeping that felony off of your record. If convicted of a felony, you are facing many lifetime issues that greatly outweigh any jail time that you may receive in the short run. So, when approaching any felony matter, my first goal is to get the felony charge dismissed, deferred, or reduced to a misdemeanor. My second goal is to keep you out of jail, or if you are incarcerated, get you out and keep you out.
Felony charges are very serious matters, and you need tough representation from someone who will attack every procedural and substantive aspect of the case.
Renewable Energy
For the past two years, I have traveled all over the State of New Mexico looking at renewable energy opportunities and making connections with the important players in the race for the top of this statewide industry. Seeing very little focus or concentration in this aspect of the law, I have focused a greater part of my attention to being the renewable energy attorney that people in the State of New Mexico turn to. The State of New Mexico, including many county and their codes, are behind in the development of the proper legislation to get projects completed properly and without delay. As such, it takes much governmental relations and pioneering through to get things done. I have had the fortunate opportunity of having successful experiences with these very subjects.
